Writing Contest: WOW! Seeks Short Fiction Worldwide

Although WOW! is primarily for women, its 2016 Flash Fiction Contest is open to both men and women who write short stories in English from anywhere in the world. The contest is limited to the first 300 entries, so enter now.

WOW! Women on Writing (or WOW!) will select 20 winners, with cash prizes for the first three winners ($350, $250, and $150 respectively) plus gift cards, Channillo.com membership, and publication. Seven runners-up and 10 honorable mentions will receive gift cards plus Channillo.com membership.

WOW! is a global online magazine designed to support women’s creativity throughout all stages of writing. In addition to its publication, it provides writing workshops and online classes.

Flash Fiction Contest

If you write short stories and want to submit a story, take note of the following:

  • Your story must be fiction and written in English.
  • Minimum word count: 250 words. Maximum word count: 750 words, excluding title and personal information.
  • There is a$10 fee to enter the contest.
  • Contest deadline: Feb. 29, 2016, 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
  • Contestants will be notified of the results no longer than two months after the close of the contest.
